COMMUNITY UNITY
Who do you spend the most time with? Have you ever gone a week alone by yourself without surrounding yourself with anyone? Have you ever realized how people are a part of your daily life? Have you ever thought about the impact other people have on you? Are you involved in a community?
I ask all of this to say…. Community Unity. The art of community is so impactful. Whether many of us are aware or not, other humans serve a huge impact in our daily lives. We are not meant to do this lifetime alone. We are meant to experience this journey alongside others. Some people serve as a moment, a season, a reason, or a lifetime. And the beautiful part about it is that there’s this interconnectedness within us being human.
Many say, “It’s about the journey, not the destination.” And you know what makes the journey so great? The COMPANY you’re with. The moments and memories you’re guiding along your path. So I want you to take a second and think about the people you surround yourself with, the communities you’re involved with, the strangers you pass by daily. And I want you to ask yourself… how am I impacted by them? How do I impact them?
“SOMETIMES WE LIVE ON AUTO PILOT SO MUCH THAT WE FORGET TO TAKE A SECOND TO THINK OF THE BASICS OF OUR HUMAN INTERACTIONS AND HOW THEY IMPACT US.”
You may or may not know this, but each encounter you have with another person is a chance to create IMPACT. The dynamic of it is completely up to you. You are always co-creating with the universe/life/source energy. Sometimes we live on auto pilot so much that we forget to take a second to think of the basics of our human interactions and how they impact us. I’ve realized the power of people coming together in union is truly magical! There’s something about finding a “clic” you resonate with and sharing similar energy. So now I ask you, are you involved in a community?
The other day I was thinking of community and came across this thought… Community. Unity through communication. That communication can be verbal or non verbal. Through words, movement, sports, entertainment, energy, vibrations, etc. There’s an exchange of energy that occurs that creates impact. When we come across people there is always communication occurring. Walking past a stranger, there’s an energy you can pick up; playing in a sports team there’s a common goal to win; dancing there’s vibrations through movement and music; being in group settings, there’s words exchanging. There’s different ways to communicate both non-verbally and verbally that lead to unity.
Different ways I’ve personally involved community in my life are being part of organizations that create culture, creating book clubs with close friends, getting involved with events in my community, and creating a space for women to come together called Limitless Goddess. There are many different ways to go about getting involved or creating spaces. You have the choice and can create opportunities for yourself to get involved.
I hope this inspires you to self reflect on the individuals you surround yourself with and see if you have or how you can implement community in your life. Community is unity which leads to YOUnity. We are all interconnected and through the bonding of others we bond with ourselves. This life is truly what you make it! Enjoy the journey and even more… the company.
Con mucho amor,
J.V.
