WHO ARE YOU REALLY?

Who are you? Have you ever wondered who you really are? Who you are without a name, a label, an ethnicity? Who you are at your core essence without any external things or labeling? Who you are past your conditioning and past your pain? Who are you really?

When many of us get asked who we are, we often say… “Hi my name is ______, my ethnicity is _____, I work for ____, and I am _____ years old.” Those are all things that were given to us. Before we are born, often times, we are given a name, an ethnicity, a race, an age. And our career is something we achieved but can constantly change. When we come to think of it, these things are just part of us. It’s not who we really are.  When we meet ourselves past these “things”, we get to see that we have a… soul. A soul residing in a body. “We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” Therefore, we get to see that our existence is simply enough. We get to see that you are really an extension of source energy and that our accomplishments, name, and culture are just part of who we are in a physical world.

Differentiating the two is so important. In the initial steps of personal development, we have to question everything and begin understanding the basics of who we are. We are not our accomplishments. Our accomplishments are just part of us. If we live our life based on the programming we grew up with, is it really the life we want to live? Or is it the life we’ve been taught to? Asking ourselves these questions are so valuable. Some may think it’s, “Going too deep” and I like to say it’s “Getting to know me, and in turn we.”

You can only meet someone as deeply as you’ve met yourself. So, when you gain an understanding of you, you get to gain an understanding of others. Because you realize we are all the same. We are all human. Just with different stories, and that collectively make life that much more interesting.

How bland would life be without diversity? It’s like eating food without seasoning, or ice-cream without flavors. It’s so magical knowing that NOONE in this world can be you! You are a unique individual. Often times we try to “fit in” growing up, only to enter adulthood and realize what made us different is actually what makes us special. And when we being to OWN that, that’s when we can live in our truth, and love in our power. We are not meant to be like the person next to us. We are meant to be like the person in the mirror.

Now look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Who am I really?”
